Extra Wembley date added

Tickets are now on general sale for Kasabian’s November tour.

Due to overwhelming demand, a second Wembley show has been added.

Kasabian: Is quiet the new loud?

While Kasabian has always been known for being self-assured rockers with strong grooves, they tone down the music in this their third album to confound critics..

The looping grooves that fans have come to expect from Kasabian, manifest in the track, “Underdog.” Indeed, even from the get-go, the band makes it clear that they can go soft, successfully.

FRESH from performing at Glastonbury and on the back of their No 1 album, Kasabian have announced a 10-date arena tour.

West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum sold more than 150,000 copies in two weeks and topped the charts until knocked from the top spot by Michael Jackson.

The band, from Leicester, are due to release their new single Where Did All The Love Go? on August 10, as a follow-up to No 3 single Fire.

Hit band Kasabian share advice with The Getaway Boys

A YOUNG Derby band recording their debut album are getting advice from top bands Kasabian and The Happy Mondays.

Daniel Parkin, 22, whose band, The Getaway Boys, started recording last week, said: “We’re really good mates with both bands and they’ve been giving us some recording tips.

“They’ve told us to keep things original, be true to ourselves and go our own route.”

Tributes to Foxes legend Henry [Kasabian mascot]

He may have never played for Leicester City on the pitch but tributes have come flooding in for the man who performed their pre-match anthem.

Henry Shipley, whose rousing Post Horn Gallop were a feature of City’s home games, died on June 20.

Henry, who was in his early 80s, first played the Post Horn Gallop at Filbert Street back in the early 1940s with the Home Guard Band.

Tuesday June 30, 2009 – Fresh from performing in front of tens of thousands at The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury over the weekend, Kasabian return to more intimate surroundings for a sold out show at the Manchester Academy. Support on the night came from The Hours.
