Kasabian head for Portsmouth

The mighty Kasabian have announced they will be coming to Portsmouth on Monday, July 6.

The Leicester band come to the Guildhall as part of a 20-date UK tour that also sees them in Southampton on July 2.

It will be a busy summer for the boys who join the Oasis stadium tour, the Eden Sessions and headline The Great Escape festival in Brighton on May 16.

Their third album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, is due for release on June 8 and it’s first single, Fire, will come out a week earlier.

If the songs they showcased at their Teenage Cancer Trust gig in March and their free download single, Vlad the Impaler, are anything to go by, it’s another cracker.

Tickets for the Portsmouth show cost £22.50. Visit portsmouthguildhall.co.uk or call (023) 9282 4355
