Backstage at Glastonbury: Day Two

Ahead of Kasabian’s anthem packed set – just before headliner Bruce Springsteen on the Pyramid Stage – the band were spotting stars too.

Serge said he was too nervous to actually say hello to anyone, including The Boss himself, who it’s rumoured specially requested them on the line up.

“We heard the same rumour!” he said. “I just saw him in the corridor and there was not a lot of love there! I didn’t even say hello though. He gave a kind of smile – maybe.”

Bruce meanwhile was jumping on stage with Gaslight Anthem for a track in the John Peel tent, before catching Passion Pit’s packed out set there too.

But Kasabian were also very excited about their other celeb spot of the day:

“Status Quo are at our hotel! That is amazing,” Serge laughed. “What a pair of absolute lords they are.

“They were just having a cup of tea downstairs,” Chris added. “It’s insane. We didn’t say hi though. Tom weren’t there, we needed Tom.”

“When it’s like this there’s nowhere better in the world,” said Serge.

“I’m kind of sad to leave, but my organs won’t be though. The two day affair really does start to take its toll. 24 hours is easy to get over!”
